Rīgas satiksme has joined the Mission Zero initiative
To strengthen occupational safety and promote employee health, Rīgas satiksme has joined the Mission Zero initiative, which aims to make health and safety a priority in both everyday work processes and in interactions with society.
The initiative is based on the belief that the only acceptable number of workplace accidents is zero. It is a mission with a clear meaning and an achievable goal – to protect every employee so that everyone can return home safe and sound after work.
Rīgas satiksme recognises that safety is not just a set of rules – it is a daily choice, a culture and an attitude that is shaped by the actions of every employee and the overall approach of the company. We are proud of our employees and want them to work in an environment that actively mitigates risks, provides the necessary protective equipment and promotes mutual responsibility.

The main objectives of the Mission Zero initiative:
- To prevent fatalities caused by work and related conditions;
- To significantly reduce workplace accidents by striving for “0”
- To introduce preventive measures to protect and maintain the health of employees.
In the changing world of today, safety is a constant value. And Rīgas satiksme reinforces this value not only in words, but in deeds – with the belief that health and safety starts with each one of us.
